HALO Program
Foster parents shouldn't have to worry about providing for their child's medical needs
Imagine a child entering foster care with complex medical needs…
From wheelchair accessibility to sensory devices for autism spectrum disorder, these unique challenges can often go unaddressed, putting the health and safety of these vulnerable children at risk.
At Embrace Washington, we believe that every child experiencing foster care deserves access to the medical assistance necessary for a healthier, happier life.
Our HALO program (Healthcare Assistance for Little Ones) is designed to cater to the diverse medical needs of children experiencing foster care across Eastern Washington. We aim to provide comprehensive support tailored to each child's unique circumstances. Whether acquiring essential medical devices or installing specialized equipment, our HALO program ensures that no child's medical needs are overlooked.
One in five children in loving foster homes has special medical needs. These needs can be complex and require ongoing care. Unfortunately, sometimes limitations make it challenging to meet all these needs fully.
For just $500, you can improve the quality of life and enhance the safety of children experiencing foster care by providing necessary medical assistance.

Embrace Washington is currently unable to accept in-kind donations of used medical equipment due to each child's unique needs. It is difficult to predict when such donations will be suitable for future program participants. However, we welcome any other ways through which you can support the medical needs of children experiencing foster care. Please feel free to reach out to us for further discussion.
